They are good

So are PC's.

Each to their own, neither is better than the other.

There are a thousand threads on this subject in a thousand different forums, my advice to you is not to listen to anyone here.

This argument always goes the same. The Macboys always scream about how great Macs are, someone tells them to stfu, someone posts a link to that lame website about how Mac users can't shut up, someone else says they had problems with Macs, I tell whoever said anything about Mac security that it is a myth, and then someone says Linux is greater than all of the above. Repeat that for about 3 pages and you'll have where this is going.

The truth is, unless you have a specific question, you are gonna get about 100 dumb answers, a hijacked thread, and maybe 2 or 3 worthwhile posts.

Personally, I prefer Macs, but that's just cause they're better for what I'm usually doing.

But I have both

I prefer macs because I just get the interface. I used to use both, but PCs just seem so clumsy to me. Plus, the ones at my university are terrible and take forever to just even get up the login screen. I'm glad my faculty uses macs.

Plus, Logic Pro is cool.

Ugh, I've had to use both. I really cannot stand PC's. The computers at school are all PC's, and they're so slow, they're always getting viruses, and I hate the interface. I've got macs at home, and I have to say, they beat the hell out of PC's
A powerful Mac is obviously going to be better than an ancient PC.

I have a feeling this'll just turn into one of those threads where Mac users look down their noses at PC users, and PC users make idiots of themselves trying to defend themselves

What I think is interesting, is you never hear people go, "I freaking love my new pc, it's amazing, I have norton!" Or whatever. Maybe for the first week, but not after. Most people adore their Macs, forever.

My Mac Love Story:

I got my macbook as a graduation gift going into college. I had used PC's all my life. I got used to the UI super fast. The UI is amazing so simple, sleek, and clean. no pop-up ballons, no anti-virus, no warnings or reminders. The actual OS to run the programs on actually helps you using your apps, show all windows, show all apps, hide all windows, it makes everything more efficient. Where as Windows is so static (every screen is a screen shot) and many times hinders your use of apps (drivers, clumsy task bar, start menu, or cluttered desktop).
The thing I <3 about my mac is that i jusrt turn it on and i can start doing what i need to. browsing the internet, listening to music, and editing a+v every once in a whle when i'm bored.

You can use a PC, I frankly don't care. But if you're telling me Windows is a better OS than Mac, I have to disagree. Windows has more support from third parties, but the OS in its own right is garbage.
