Thoughts? I'm thinking of getting one, and I've heard the higher series ones are pretty good. If you own one or have owned/played one I'd like to know your thoughts on them

One I like is the EC-500
http://www.thomann.de/gb/esp_ltd_ec500_ow.htm

I had my eye on the EC-1000 STBC for a while, i'm just trying to decide on the colour and the EC-1000's are more expensive.

If anyone knows of any other guitars similar to the eclipses, any white with black binding and EMG (81's possibily) pickups, I would like to see.
I really like As I Lay Dying, Nick Hipa's Ibanez Artist Custom (i think) guitar, white with black binding and EMG's but I haven't seen this guitar anywhere else so i'm guessing most of it's design is custom.

Thanks in advance.

The EC-400 looks like itll be good. With the EMG/Duncans, it should sound good. But if u play metal, especially on high frets, its like a Les Paul, as u wont be able to reach em. But its the cheapest guitar w/ EMGs stock.

i have an ltd ec-1000 STBC with the actice emg's and it is awesome, now i never played the seymour duncan pickup ec 1000 model so i couldnt give you a proper suggestion on that end but if u wunt active pickups then that guitar is the way to go for sure. now other esp models are awesome too, but make sure you stay in the 400 series or higher cause any lower and they use agathis for the body so not the best wood there. if ur looking for a guitar for metal immediatley ESP,Schecter, and Ibanez come to mind and also jackson so maybe do some price checking on different models and specs. happy hunting man
XBLive Gamertag: ecdeluxe1000 send me friend requests (make sure u put UG in the message somewhere)

great guitar, i own a viper-400 but ive played the eclipse, and i really like it. the cut seems a lot deeper than an lp so you can reach the frets easier. if you cna find a 400 yuo'll liek ti, but i dont knwo if they manufacture them anymore.

Searched for the EC-400 but the couple of sites I checked said it's been discontinued or something.

That's good, because on my crappy epi les paul special it's kind of impossibile to get to the higher frets in a comfortable position.

Thanks for the help, and keep it coming if you want.
