I thought I had decided on the Hot pickup set from GFS but now I'm not sure if they'll be too hot or what. So here is the deal. I want the vintage noiseless gone, great tone, just not for me.

In my SSS 93 strat I'd like something that emulates a hotter bluesy buddy guy sound. In the HSS 04' I want a pickup that emulates the strat era clapton sound.

Hopefully you guys can help me narrow down my choices, there are just WAY too many pickups to choose from these days.

After reading CorduroyEW's comments on GFS single coils, I'd probably be inclined to not buy them

What's your price range and what country do you live in?

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

America, I'd like to spend no more than 200 for both sets. Pretty impossible to do these days but with all the pickup makers I'm sure someone can get me a nice pickup at a reasonable price.
