Today is the 4 year anniversary of Elliott Smith's death. Listen to a few of his songs today in memory of such a great musician.

Oh damn, I misread that as Elliot Reed at first, scared the hell out of me for a second. So who's this Smith loser?

Never heard anything by him, nor do I REALLY know who he was.

All I know is people idolize him.

RIP, though. Losing an idol can suck ass.

And death is never fun for the living world.

elliott was brilliant. he was so uncomfortable with the idea of fame.

i miss him.

oh **** your right!

I was actually just listening to Figure 8 today. Id say he is up there with the greatest songwriters of all time. He was so original.

Yes, very sad, still. Elliott has one of the most emotionally moving catalogs of songs of any artist, in my opinion.
When crying don't help
You can't compose yourself
It's best to compose a poem
An honest verse of longing
Or a simple song of hope...

Calm down, I'm sure he didn't mean to insult, he probably has never heard of him anyways.

I can't imagine what would've happened if Elliot had never killed himself, I definitely do not picture him putting albums out at this moment. He was a great artist.
