Why do you need the half-stack? Are you gigging? What's the most that you can realistically spend on the amp, because although it's loud, and half-stacks sure look neat, there's a lot better you can do tone-wise for the money.

Well, the other crate's not all that much better. As most people here would suggest, an all-tube amp would sound loads better than any of the Crate's you mentioned, or that hybrid amp (not all tube).
