its bizarre, i always saw them as an annoying as hell derivative melodic death clone band with bad breakdowns, but lately i just cant stop listening to them

anybody else ever hate a band for a really long time and then randomly just start enjoying them?

Not since I discovered the Faceless.

They're not talking about hardcore punk, they're talking about "hardcore." It has little in common with its roots in the '80s.

i listened to ABRB for a few week then got bored of them.

all thier songs sound identical to me and i went off them.

and yarrr the double kicks are pretty fast xD

i think like two years ago i liked that hester prynne song, and then i never really listened to much of them after that. then i saw them live, and i really thought that they just sucked. so i pretty much hate them. i'm not to much into mosh calls, advertising music videos, and cheasy stage antics.

they are terrible live, but theyre good on recording [some of their stuff anyhow]

and i think you mean the 'bring the motha ****ing ruckus' breakdown in 'in dying days' by mosh-call

thats a wu-tang reference

I think the berzerker still has fastest footwork anyway on topic:

At first I couldn't hear Arsonists Get All The Girls at all, but now I'm really into them.
This counts aswell for elysia, but now I rather admire them.

apparently the drummer from nile has the fastest recorded blasts on one of their songs, but i forget which.

also devourment (i think it was them) claim to have some of the fastest feet.

my first impression of abrb was that they're pretty sweet, but i've forgotten much of it...i might have to go back for another listen.

that is what girls find attractive.

The Berzerker uses a drum machine.

As for hating a band then liking them, i've done it before, but never with a band as bad as As Blood Runs Black

EDIT: Also I love how lots of heavy music nowadays is judged by how fast someone's double bass is. Jesus.
I have cancer, fight me.

the band that i used to dislike and recently got in to is bring me the horizon. lol. i used to see them as a bunch of hardcore-wannabe scene kids. i was biased.

as blood runs black rocks! they sound melodic death to me, with breakdowns. i love at the gates-like riffs.

they are not good, I thought they were fun live, but yeah, I always thought they sucked
#18
Terribly generic, but good nonetheless. I thought they put on a good show. Might not have been the tightest band, but they're good performers. And their music is fun to listen to and easy to get into.

doesn't really seem like a drum machine unless the guy's a robot. Not that it matters after all 'cause fastest double bass isn't what music is all about anyway

i used to hate converge... i called them 'pterodactyl-core' because of the vocalists annoyingly high pitched scream. i like them now though

as blood runs black... hmmm i like a few of their songs. Most of them are terribly generic, but its one of those bands that you love, but you hate at the same time. Although, even though i dont listen to them very much, i find them heavilly influencing my guitar style. And as far as me not liking a band then getting into them, ive done that with Arsonists get all the girls, WhiteChapel, Cannibal Corpse, and Bring me the horizon. Just to name a few.
#26
as blood runs blacks best song is the brighter side of suffering, its pretty much their only song that id describe as being awesome

and kiss the snake is sweet [fgov song]
#29
i havent really listened to them in a long time, they got boring after a week. They are pretty sweet to listen to once an while
#30
I used to hate the human abstract.
Then I got into them...
now they just got bland...
I'm hoping their new stuff will change that (release date anyone?)

oh my god.....The Berzerker.......i was going to say they have a drum machine too but GOOD GOD! that was sweet.

oh and as for ABRB....just no
one of the most terrible bands i have ever graced with my presence (i was there for the Faceless )
#33
There were bands I never realy gave a full chance then they grew on me, but I got over them pretty quick too, like Children of Bodom.

ABRB is terribly generic though

Nile's drummer has like 256 bpm(16th notes) blast on Sacrifice Unto Sebek, I think that is the fastest in a song, real record was like 1400 hits in a minute
#36
Im pretty sure The berzerker do have a drummer.
Some of their songs are drum machines though, so it's a mix.

As for topic, Knights of the Abyss, Acacia Strain and BTBAM
I used to think Acacia strain were soo ****
