i wouldn't, its got some pretty bad knocks, probably not the best for metal either without some changes, locking tuners and such.

too much damage for my liking buy a new guitar or a different one with a floyd rose and humbuckers someat like that

I say go for it, you might have to change the pickups but it doesn't seem bad, as long as you can live with the damage, i would get it. That chip on the fretboard might be bad, but it doesn't seem like it would get it the way.

As long as you don't pay over $300 its not a bad deal. In my opinion you will have to fix the chip on the fretboard. Can be done with a little wood putty as long as you aren't too picky. Use this as a bargaining tactic.
