Does anyone have any suggestions on good bassy songs to get subs crankin? Yes, i know, rap is good, but I don't like rap. I know death metal is good too, but I'm not always in the mood for metal. Any thoughts?

Buckethead songs often have a lot of bass. Primus too. Just go for bands with prominent bassists (like Les Claypool), cause they usually crank up the bass to feature them.

And I don't give a crap if you don't like rap, just pop in some Yin Yang Twins or something and get that **** poppin.

Try "My Fears Have Become Phobias" by As Blood Runs Black. Sure, they're kind of a scene band, but their drummer has insane double pedal skills. They're kind of melodic death metal-ish.

Also Party Baby by Captain Ahab is awesome. Hit me up on AIM or MSN if you can't find them, I think they're in my profile.

Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, play that when you don't want anything heavy, the bass player is Victor Wooten, so you get TONS of funky bass awesomeness.

I've got something in my front pocket for you.
Why don't you reach down in my pocket and see what it is?
Then grab onto it, it's just for you.
Give a little squeeze and say: "How do you do?"

I've found that alot of hendrix songs are pure awsomeness when you crank the bass. Especially ones like 'Little Miss Lover', 'She's So Fine' and 'Izabella'.

Every single song off of "Welcome to Sky Valley" by Kyuss. There's so much bass in that record that it's nausiating.
