It's on the side.

Seriously, go look.

No, not there.

On the side. The SIDE!!!

Anyway, a good technique I find is just methodically thinking of every place it's possible for you to leave the object, or for people to move it to, and then rank these in order of likelyhood. Then you should end up searching a lot faster by prioritising than just methodically scouring every single location.

Search every room in the building methodically. You might find all sorts of interesting things.

think: where is the last place you saw it / last thing you remember doing with it / the most likely place for it to be, etc.

If you have kids, you could organize a scavenger hunt. Kids will believe anything, they're that stupid.

How I wish I had kids.

Try to remember where you last saw it.
Retrace your steps since then.
Look under the couch. It's always there.

If that fails, go to the place you'd least expect to find it. It's always there. That's how I found my watch in the fridge

This is the stupidest question I have ever seen.

"How do I find missing things?" Christ on a bike.

Actually, to do with Christ, a lot of people think praying to St. Anthony, who is the patron saint of lost and missing persons.
Friends, applaud the comedy is over.

it's always in the last place u look

Henceforth, just skip to the last place you'd look, et voila!

Honestly, don't look for it. I never find stuff I look for. Then a few days later I find it while looking for something else.

But, really, if you still prefer to look for it right away, by all means, go ahead. You'll think of so many places to look in that you'll find loads of stuff you forgot you have or never even knew you have, but you won't find what you're looking for. ^_^
