I didn't know, sorry! I've been trying to get the poll working.

Sorry guys..

How has pitching been this year?

As in, how reliable will the pitching lines be for both teams?

The Red Sox will win any game that Josh Beckett pitches. He's been incredibly consistent this entire post-season, and I don't see that changing.

Other than Beckett, though, I really don't think the Red Sox have a pitcher that can hold the Colorado offense. Schilling CAN be good, but you really don't know which Schilling is going to show up. He has as much of a chance of pitching a shutout as he does allowing 10 runs. And the Sox REALLY can't rely on Daisuke and Wakefield.

The Rockies don't have the quality pitchers that the Red Sox have, but they do a good job of holding off the opposing offense just enough.

Right now, I'm going to have to go Rockies in 6. Beckett will get two wins for the Red Sox, but the Rockies will take the rest of them.

I totally agree with you on the Sox.

Specially with Schilling. He's amazing, but he throws games too D:

Beckett kicks major ass.

I hope the Sox win, but the Rockies are doing really ****in amazing this year.

Long live the rockies, who I never thought would make it to the series.

Have they ever made it?

I can't recall them making it ever..

i don't know, but i want the rockies to win. this like their only year that they made it to the playoffs... (always padres, giants, dodgers, or d-backs.)

Red Sox in five.

I can't wait to see the ungodly amount of runs the Sox offense could put up in Colorado if they have a good night.
Can't stop the signal.

Hmm..

Since I've always been a Sox fan, I want them to win, but if you think about it.. the Rockies DO deserve one.

I just hope its a good series.

Not just one team totally getting raped by another, you know?

i think the dodgers would win it all.

wait 'til next year...

it seems like the dodgers always have a team that is good, but not quite good enough. they had the best record in the NL for a while in july and ended up 4th in the west.

Beckett should get MVP for ALCS Pennant IMHO.

And I didn't really keep track of the NLCS.

So who do you guys think should get the MVP?
#17
either Brad Hawpe, or Matt Holliday

For the World Series?

I'd say Matt Holliday or Troy Tulowitski

Tulowitski seems like he is always up to bat in big situations and he comes through a large majority of the times. Holliday is just a beast that can't be stopped. He's one of those guys that always seem to be on base.

That, of course, is going by me saying the Rockies are going to win earlier.

I don't know- Schilling usually comes up big in big games, and he's been doing well in his last few starts, and Daisuke did well today. The Indians have a great offense too, and the AL has been playing at a consistently higher level in the past several years.

One thing about Wake- They might not put him on the mound in Colorado- the Knuckleball doesn't work as well there. So will they not use him? Save him for game 6? Use Lestah?

I dunno man.. I hope they use him, I mean, if not for skill purposes, for the actual thrill of playing in a W.S.

That would be so amazing.

Tickets must cost a HUGE amount of money also.

The AL is getting better and better IMO.

I honestly hope they do play Wake.

I think he's a damn good pitcher.
#22
^ I don't know what they plan to do, but I know they make sure not to play him there in the regular season, and it might be enough to make a difference. He did play in 2004. Whatever happens, he's not going to make a big deal out of it. Class act.

I've noticed that the AL tipically has 3 or 4 teams that are way better than all the rest, and the NL has a bunch of teams that are about as good as each other.

I mean, this year, the AL teams in the playoffs were decided with over a week left, but it came down to the last day in the NL.

Not really sure why this is.

and hey to all the guys back from the indians red sox game thread

EDIT: i think the sox win tonight 8-2

I don't want the Sox to win (big Yankee fan; deal with it), but there seems to be no other option The Rockies might have a streak going, but look who they played- the National League, especially West, is a huge joke. I don't know if you can really call this a legitimate World Series. We should skip this year and start over again next year.

Major League Baseball has disappointed me this season: first off, the Yankees made me question all that is good in the world; the Mets, after being in first for 120-something days getting knocked out, and then the frigging ROCKIES NL champs?? Come ON. Baseball 2007 was a joke. The only enjoyment I got out of it was the Yankees' comeback and .700 baseball in August- who else could touch that? Our rookies made me believe we could get somewhere on our youth but, alas, twas not to be.
