The reason is because i've been waiting for that stupid Peavey Windor Studio to come out and my other crappy amp broke. Can this potentially be harmful to my playing? When i start playing with an amp again, will my playing be really messy?

if anythign it will be beneficial because if you play with distortion that can sometimes mask sloppy error.
