A lot of pros do that: if they play a wrong note, they'll hit it again to make it look as if it's intentional. It's called "jazz", aparently.

P.O.D and a bunch of the bands are actually christian groups, a few may not be your specific type of metal but their still in the general group or a subgroup of metal

however i doubt lamb of god is christian...

but if you look at christian tours such as Creation Fest, or Purple Door, you'll find some good christian metal bands in the lineup

this thread is full of failure

Candlemass, Trouble and Savatage are all you'd need

this will get closed tho

The only actual metal band there is Living Sacrifice coincidentaly the best on that list by far, you may want to check Antestor, Frost Like Ashes, Crimson Thorn, Crimson Moonlight, Drottnar (early), Horde, Aletheian, and a few others most importantly Akercocke, The Amenta, and Celtic Frost

There's christian metal, but most of those aren't metal bands. Most of those bands are what people who don't know music would call "hardcore".

walk with me in hell lyrics:

Pray for blood
Pray for the cleansing
Pray for the flood
Pray for the end of this nightmare
This lie of a life can as quickly as it came dissolve

We seek only reprieve
And welcome the darkness
The myth of a meaning, so lost and forgotten

Take hold of my hand
For you are no longer alone
Walk with me in hell

Pray for solace
Pray for resolve
Pray for a savior
Pray for deliverance
Some kind of purpose, a glimpse of a light in this void of existence

Oh...
Now witness the end of an age
Hope dies in hands of believers
Who seek the truth in the liar's eyes

Take hold of my hand
For you are no longer alone
Walk with me in hell

Walk with me in hell
Walk with me in hell
Walk with me in hell
Walk with me in hell
Walk with me in hell

Take hold of my hand
For you are no longer alone
Walk with me in hell

Walk with me in hell
Walk with me in hell

You're never alone
You're never alone
You're never alone

You're never alone
You're never alone
Walk with me in hell

Gorgoroth are comedic geniuses, I definitely recommend them.

I'm fairly positive that Lamb of God are anti-religious. Either way, their first name was Burn The Priest. They are not christian.

And this thread fails in a most terrible, horid way.

Christian metal is an oxymoron. christian death metal, well.. now thats just stupid.. christian un-blackend metal? jesus.......

Paramaecium, Lykathea Aflame, Immortal Souls, Extol (old), Savior Machine, Mortification, Frost Like Ashes, Antestor, and Crimson Moonlight are the only christian bands worth listening to. Most of the others just rip off of everybody else's music, add words like "God" and "Jesus" in there somewhere, play concerts at churches, and make money off of all the kids who are finaly allowed to go to a metal concert because, after all, the band is "christian"
#33
And I suppose white rappers should be illegal? What about socialist country singers? Or maybe ugly pop singers?

Are those all oxymorons as well?

+1, I don't see how people are thinking they are Christians. They seem pretty anti-religous to me especially with their old name being Burn the Priest.

Dave Mustaine of Megadeth is a Christian, although his music doesn't reflect it. Tom Araya claims to be Christian, but I think thats bull shit. Anyways, does it really matter if a band is Christian or not? I listen to the music and I don't care what the bands' religion is.

i couldnt have said it better.

its just that metal was formed off dark subjects, not involving Christian values, usualy using evil topics. the idea of christ in metal is just confusing, and seems a bit... oh i dunno stupid? i see what your saying. but the subject of religion is far more touchy than peoples race, appearance. socialist country singer, hey if thats what he wants to talk about let him, thats one country singer a few rappers and an ugly pop star. this is about religion in a music genre that is almost always evil in some way being recycled into dealing with Christian Topics in an aggressive format, i dont know about you think, but would jesus approve of loud angry music that has an evil feel to it?

no, it doesn't matter what kind of music someone listens to, im christian and i love Guns N Roses, and other rock and metal bands, its just a topic but i agree with what dead-fish said. Saying christian metal is an oxymoron is like saying rappers can't be white and ect. Metal and Death metal is just a style of playing, not the lifestyle of the person playing
#38
I just recently heard of them before but Virgin Black are supposed to be a goth doom/death metal band.
