Hey. ive been look at a couple noise gate racks and have been getting frustrated because finding one that seems to be decent enough with a good price range is hard. so far ive narrowed it down to the Rocktron hush. but i dont have the money just yet. so i was wondering if i could use my POD xT on board noise gate for now until i can get that. for example. turn everything off on the pod and just have the signal and the noise gate going through the effects loop. would that work? right now my rig is a B-52 AT-100 and a 482i sonic maximizer.

it's doable, but not really reasonable.

try out the boss noise suppressor pedal.

Dude, a Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor is only $85 at Musician's Friend. Probably uber cheaper on eBay too.

I thought the Boss NS2 sucked too much life out of my sound. and kills sustain too. it doesn't feel open. i thought MXR Smart Gate or something was pretty decent though. and ISP Decimator does blow other **** away.

btw, what kind of guitar do u have? if u have humbuckers, u shouldn't have much problem with noise... would u?

i have a frankinstein guiar with a EMG 85 in the bridge. looks of feedback along with some 60 cycle hum. im planning on getting a hum x to get rid of that hum but i still want a noise gate for my guitar.
