It looks like the DX has one more knob but what does it do? Is it worth the extra 10 dollars because i normally see people only recommending the TS9 but not the DX. Thanks

The DX was designed for more modern overdrive styles, but in doing so kinda defeats the point of the pedal! It's not a bad overdrive by any means, but for the classic 'tubescreamer' sound I'd spend a few quid more and go for the TS808.

Either way I'd be traditional and go with the regular TS-9. Like the guy above me said, it's supposed to be for modern overdrive tones, and there are a bunch of pedals that can give you a more modern tone. Besides, excuse my bland knowledge of OD pedals, but 'modern overdrive' is kind of an oxymoron, no?
