Ok, so I was curious as to what my fellow Pit Monkies liked to listen to when they aren't listening to rock. So yeah, post what kinda non-rock music you enjoy listening to.

Edit: Oh, *insert obligatory no-flaming/arguments comment*

Edit2: Poll up.

I don't mind a bit of bit of country music occasionally. Sometimes blues. Neither very often though.

Title of thread assumes everyone here listens primarily to rock music.

I listen to rock when I'm not in the mood for my usual synthpop.

I selected everything

I've been listening to a lot of Cafe music and Ethnic/Folk recently.

Yeah I didn't list Metal on there (or Punk for that matter) since I personally consider Metal a sub-genre of Rock.

interesting, i'd say it isn't, although they're definately related. but whether i listen to metal rather than rock doesn't matter. classical for me then.

Folk, but not blues, so I don't know what to put in the poll :s

Everything on the list (other: Jazz) except for RnB/Rap.

I do listen to some hiphop though, but mostly oldies or swedish acts.

Blues, it's all about the blues baby.

Though perhaps I should clear up *most* of the music I listen to is Acid jazz, funk, ska blues or soul.

Rock is an occasioanl thing. And only usually if it has trumpets

Pretty much all of them except Jam Bands, which i'm not sure what that is *shrug*

So strange categories there though, world/house? They're opposite ends of the spectrum!

I don't ever listen to rock. Well alice in chains I like, does that count? The genres I listen to are gothic, classical, electro, metal in most subgenres, random accoustic guitar wankery, techno, trance, punk, blues, folk, drum & bass, finn-pop and ebm. None of those are rock, rock's boring!
