Ibanez rg550, ashton 50 watt (its not all that good, but can't afford anything bigger), looking for a classic metal sound that can also deliver a crushing tone

I'm tempted to recommend the tony iommi sig humbucker since close to your price range. I was able to play one at a store, and I say it's pretty darn good.
Call me Wes.
Gear:
Fender American Deluxe HSS Strat
Chicago Blues Box Roadhouse
Bad Cat Cougar 5
1957 Gibson GA-5
Ceriatone 18w TMB Combo
Hughes & Kettner Tube Factor
Various Ibanez TS9s
Weber MASS Attenuator

I've heard they're good but I want either a duncan or dimarzio

Why? there are so many other good pickup brands that you could look at, only narrowing down to Duncan and Dimarzio is making you look like more of a 'pickup noob'
Ibanez AFS75/Fender Strat Plus > Fulltone Deja' Vibe > Keeley TS808 MOD+ > Fulltone OCD > VanAmps SoleMate > Metro JTM45

Well what do you suggest then???

Dimarzio Norton or Breed - the Evo is way of the mark in this case, too clear, too bright and to hot.
Actually called Mark!
