Because they can be quite a hassle and some people who don't use their trems very often feel like the tuning problems just aren't worth it.

Those are RR Vs though, not Flying Vs. AFAIK Jackson doesn't have any Flying V type guitars in your price range. I think ESP has one that would probably suit you.

Edit: http://www.espguitars.com/guitars_v.html < that one

^ yeah but if you read his thread he said that he was looking at an RR3 and was put off by it because it had a floyd rose type trem

The Ibanez VBT also has a fixed bridge, but it's discontinued so you may not be able to find one.

Also, you can always buy one with a trem and then block it or install a Tremol-no (www.tremol-no.com).

TS, You already have a goooood guitar (the jackson) so, buy a good valve amp instead the guitar, you will get a better sound. I have a crate solid state (worst than your cube), and i wish to have a better amp, my sound s*cks :/ . So, I would go to a new amp instead of a new guitar.

Upgrading your amp is important, but then again, the amp he has now is fine for now and depending on what he uses it for he might not need an upgrade for a while.

Sometimes a new guitar can give a much needed boost to your playing.

its just knowing how big i should go for an amp considering my current status cos im not playing gigs or anything

if i do block it or install tremol-no will i still have awkward string changing and tuning issues?

Yes and no.

In terms of tuning, it will be like a fixed bridge; for instance if you break a string, nothing happesns to the others.

You will still have cut of the ball ends, but that's just a snip.

So apart from removing the ball end, it's pretty much the same.

One advantage of the Tremol-no is that if you want a trem (let's say you're playing a song which requires one) you'll only have to turn a screw, whereas blocking it and then unblocking is a much more annoying process.
