If you already have the ticket, from my experience, they couldn't care less.

buy tickets to another movie and just walk into 30 days of night. idk what ur theaters policy is, checking tickets at the doors of each theater or just inside, but I did it all the time and it never failed.

Go there and look around for somebody older. Once you see a person, ask them "me and my friend want to see this movie but they wont sell us a ticket. If I give you the money could you grab the tickets for us?" I did that a few years back and it always worked and now people do it to me

Depends on the theater and how old you look. You might get away with your parents buying the tickets, but they might want to check for ID before you enter the film if you look young.

I would just go with an older friend if you wanted. I don't watch movies so I have no idea.

How about this:

I've been to so many R-rated movies when I was under 17. I think I was carded once. I said okay, handed 8 dollars to my friend who was standing right behind me. He bought two tickets, and the ticket booth boy didn't say a thing. Chances are pretty good they just don't care. Guess it depends on where you live.

Ah-ha! Not so.
The North American Theater Organization (Yes, NATO) theaters only require you to be 16, since they all employ 16-year olds who could therefore see the movie it work, making it stupid to not allow 16-year olds. Also, NATO theaters only make you be 18 to buy someone else's ticket.

These things not the case? Where exactly do they take your tickets?

"They" = MPAA, which is not NATO.

The 17+ is a recommendation.

you buy the tickets kinda outside in the food court, then you go in and theres this big main lobby and they take the tickets at the entrance to that, and i think most of the time if its an R movie they make you show it to them again at the door to the theater

Sounds like the AMC I know of.

Well if you get them online, like Dude up there said, you're safe. My idea--to take old stubs--would've worked at my theater but not there. Just try to get a ticketman who is a teenager to buy from. He is your best bet, especially if there is no managerial-The Suit type hovering.
