It sounds like a mix between reggae and punk. Although ska came before reggae, that is the simple man's definition. There is a whole punk/ska forum in bands and artists though.
How many brothas fell victim to the streets?

Rest in peace young nigga, there's a heaven for a G.

Punk+Brass/Reeds=Ska

Thats really simple and may not fit it exactly, but it makes some sense.
This statement is false.

There's a punk and SKA forum. That will be much more helpful. Refer to the ska n00b thread at the top.

theres 3 waves of ska people. reggaeish, 2 tone, and 3rd wave. 3rd wave is more punkish.

I just remembered the Nov. issue of Total Guitar has a decent article on Ska. It's only a few pages but it goes into how it started and how it tied in with skinhead culture.

seriously. why is anyone mentioning brass and punk? no relation to ska at all really. what you're describing is called "third wave ska" or even "skacore". it'd be the same as saying metal is the same as metalcore. which according to metal forum guys it's not but i can't sometimes tell.

I don't get why everybody is saying it's a mix of Reggae and Punk, when Ska came before both of those genres.

Oh that's right, because they're misinformed.
