I'd say you're comparing an apple to an Orange (lol).
One is a high-gainer, the other excels in rock tones.

^ haha, touche!

i haven't tried the krank, but as aznrockerdude said, i'm guessing the krank is more aimed at the modern metal market...
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

yeah thats what I was thinking... I need something that can handle hi-gain stuff, but I would like some nice cleans too...

Well then probably Krank. The Orange is one channel to start with and the cleans are good, but it's a bad high gain amp. From what I hear Kranks have nice (but VERY CLEAN) cleans. What do you play mostly?

That Krank might as well be a single channel amp. I wasnt impressed by the high gain clip he had, it was really fuzzy. The other clips were good, but there was no real clean, other than him rolling the volume back.
