ok, so im using a Les Paul with an EMG 81 running into an RP80.

what would be the best amp/tone setting to get a crunchy tone, for example, on songs like:
-cold shot
-willie the whimp
-little wing

or just basiclly a SRV tone

u serious?

closest u can get is just turn the gain down and boost the treble and bass, with leaving the mids at like 5-6.

You can not get an SRV tone out of EMGs and a multi-effects board. If you actually want SRV tone, buy a strat, tubescreamer, and fender tube amp. Sorry

Check out this link:

clicky

It's got a bunch of patches for the RP80. I didn't bother looking for an SRV patch, but I'm sure there's one on there somewhere.
