you cant really get the boston sound because tom scholts made his on effects

yep:

Boston settings
Gain - 5
Treble - 5
Mid - 10
Bass - 3
Reverb - 0

i might think a little more gain or less mids depending on the amp. but u need lots of mids and flabby weak low end.

I saw Boston in concert many, many years ago (77ish?). Tom used a small adjustable wrench as a slide on a couple of songs. That was interesting.
