I just had a retard moment... I was dicking around on all-guitar-chords.com...

unless I never noticed it before... is Blues Pentatonic the same thing as the blues scale?

if not the site is screwed....if so...I am retarded.

or maybe....minor pentatonic is the penta for blues scale? I'm very confused now

there's different blues pentatonic scales. some have a 6, some with a b6, some with the b5, some have a b7, and some have a 3, all based off of the pentatonic minor scale. pentatonic minor + b5 = blues.

Yea dude its a selection on the scale generator site I use...I guess they just put it in there just in case people actually called it a Blues penta instead of a minor penta with a b5.... that works....thats one less scale I have to learn...thanks guys

for a minute there I thought I was losing my mind.

Ok, I understand that, but just for my learning sake, Would the scale still sound bluesy with any of those different scales?

Start learning scales by notes instead of patterns...it makes this kind of confusion a thing of the past.
