so i'm finally getting a new amp
and this is the one i found on craigslist

i play a combo of rock, blues, and some powerpop (weezer, brendan benson)
also
i'm buying a bass in the summer (i want to be a more well rounded musician)
so will this be a good amp for a good price?

Really!

The JTM was based on the Bassman, not the other way around.

A poor man's JTM is the Traynor YBA-1, but even that's getting out of the reach of the poor nowadays.

Great amp! Bet it'll sound great with the J&H, too.

You'll need a cab...that's for the head only.

Yea it'll definately be great, and you can use your guitar on it too. You'll need to buy a cab though.

Well, each new model after the 5F6A was slightly different from the previous one, so by the early 70's, there wasn't much of the original Bassman left. Even mine is pretty far from the ('59) 5F6A.

Great amp though, but very loud.
