I was recently given an $250 Amazon gift card and was wanting to put it to use in buying a new acoustic guitar. Shouldn't be to hard to find one because amazon is also partnered up with musiciansfriend.

So any kind of advice would be very appreciated.

Thanks Lynch. Amazon has one in stock for $230 (with shipping) so that may just be what I go for. It's hard to buy a guitar without actually playing it first but eh I don't have much of choice with a gift card. lol

I wouldn't trust buying a guitar off of Amazon- I'd perhaps buy some gear for it there and buy the guitar itself in a music store- It's hard to really know what you'd be getting, and you wouldn't get to try it out beforehand. Just my advice.

I would have no problem ordering from amazon. Either of these would be good choices:
Washburn D10S
Yamaha FG700S
I don't know how much more shipping will be, but you should have enough to get some strings and maybe that little Rogue tool kit.

Are you adding any money to that $250? You won't get much of a guitar for that price. YOu can do better at $500. The Parkwood guitars at musicians' friend are pretty good. I've heard good things about Blueridge as well.

I went ahead and purchased the Washburn, I always been a fan of them.
