I know you guys get this a whole lot, so I do apologise for being an inconvenience

But, I need some help. I bought an Ibanez SZ520FM (was in budget, felt the best I'd played in my budget), but got a set of DiMarzio Evos in it, for some reason

But yeah, doesn't sound so good haha.
So, looks like I need a new set :\

I play what I s'pose you would call classic rock, or whatever. Deep Purple, Cream, Sabbath, Peter Green, Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, Zeppelin, etc. You get the idea.

I do prefer slightly higher output pickups, for a bit more bite, but nothing over the top.

Suggestions are appreciated, thanks

Also, Gilmour doesn't use EMGs for "Teh Aeesome MEETALNESS!"

He uses them because they are good at moving through the insanely long chain of effects he uses.

If you go Bareknuckles you'd probably want a set of Emeralds or Abraxas.

what's your budget, where are you, and what's your amp?
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

hate to tell you, but Dave hated teh EMGs. he only used it because he got so much noise from his real single coils. and EMGs were less noisy.
