hah as the title says... my situation here is that about a year ago i brought my guitar to the tech b/c my frets were popping up, turns out the rosewood fret board was dried out so he said to oil it everynow and then and to store it in the case with a hudmidifier to keep it half humid in there so the wood wont dry out. Today i noticed that there is a bit of rust on the pickups so im wondering if its because of this humidifier... what should i do, any suggestions??

You know you're a guitar player when your girlfriend says she got a new g-string and you ask " Is it nickel-wound or bronze phosphorous?"

It could be, but i dont think it would affect the sound unless the rust was everywhere (in which case you could just replace the pickup).
Try turning the humidifier down a bit (if you can), so your frets wont die but your pickups wont either
