Does anybody else have this problem when using streaming video sites?

Whenever I try and watch youtube videos (or other assorted sites of the same nature) my browser seems to freeze up and crash. Does anyone else have this problem? Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix it?

This happens with both Firefox and IE.

It's probably some sort of lag. Sometimes youtube plays games with me, showing me my latest subscription featured videos, and when linked to it, it has been removed or the user has been suspended. Stuff like that.

That sounds completly different

I get told that IE has an error and needs to close simply from visiting the main youtube page

Well if I was you I'd reinstall both of the browsers just to see if it's the actual browsers or something else. Just another check really bud. Oh, make sure to export your favourites and whatever else you want.

I've got one:

I've downloaded the latest flash, I have javascripts turned on, but I still can't see videos on youtube and the like. It tells me I either don't have the latest flash or have javascripts turned off.

It appears to have stopped doing it now

How odd

This has been going on for months

If it continues i'll try reinstalling

edit: Time to reinstall!

I only just solved that problem yesterday. You don't happen to have Norton Personal Firewall, do you?

If you do, disable the Ad-Blocking part of the Ad-Blocking section, if not, find any other ad-blocking applications you may have running within your browsers.

If that doesn't work, find the Flash Player Uninstall file on the net and get rid of your current Flash Player, then restart your computer. Upon restarting locate the Flash Player 9 ActiveX (stand alone) (use Google) file to reinstall Flash Player back onto your computer.

If it still doesn't work, try this: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/authorwareonly.html
