Part 1. Shadow in my Eye

Shadow in my eye
What do you advise?
What do you despise?
Shadow in my eye
What’s on your mind?
What shall you find?
On your long journey home
Shadow in my eye

You’re so faded
Lost and jaded
Hated social status

You start to tumble
Left to fumble
The rumble of the storm
And the calm left in between
(to be, or not to be?)

Chorus-Jack and Jill went up the hill
With nothing left to pay the bills
Jack pushed Jill down the hill
Then left her for dead
Jill stalked Jack
Got him Back
A smack outside the head

Are we there yet?
(No)
Are we there yet?
(No)
Are we there yet?
(No)
Are we there yet?
(No)
Are we there yet?
(Shut it)
Are we---
(BANG)

Your soul hit the fan
There’s no going back
Somehow Amber is still missing
Are we looking? I can’t tell

(Chorus)

Part 2: Thank you for smoking

“Jacked up Jill,” is what Cinderella said to Snow White
Prince Charming’s abusive
And your Knight in Shining Armor is alcoholic
Who said he was perfect?

Chorus-So press your Easy Button
And keeping running into problems
Democracy is for sale
Theocracy is about to fail
Your morality will go as well

(Surgeon Generals Warning: Not smoking could cause you to live up to 10 years beyond your usefulness)

Geeze

(Chorus)

Part 3: Fagbait

Part of your plan
(is that what I am?)
Part of your plan
(is that what I am?)
Part of your plan
(is that what I am?)
Part of your plan
(is that what I am?)
You insult me

Fagbait, is that what I am?
Look who’s the unbending
Stump of a being
Who attracts more bastards

You’re not the sharpest lightbulb in the knot
I’m everything you don’t want
(fear me)
Change is ever present
I’m afraid I’m lured
Progress is president
Borderline safe and secure

Change is ever present
I’m afraid I’m lured
Progress is president
Borderline safe and secure
(safe and insecure)

Whaa!?

Part 4: Why?

Emo Goth
Emo Goth
(prep, prep, prep)
Emo Goth
Emo Goth
(prep, prep, prep)

Your social hierarchy is burning
And I’m just yearning for it to fall
Once and for all…you ruin it

Then again we start back to

Emo Goth
Emo Goth
(prep, prep, prep)
Emo Goth
Emo Goth
(prep, prep, prep)

Termites if social order
Combat in close quarters
Of lockers 301-307
There you go and do it again

Emo Goth
Emo Goth
(prep, prep, prep)
Emo Goth
Emo Goth
(prep, prep, prep)

Part 5: 2012

Blah blah blah
Does that turn you on?
Blah blah blah
Does that turn you on?

(not really)

oh well…

How’d we get so off course?
Mistaking Youtube for values, and political remorse
Everything’s fine, we’re all screwed
You’re misread views will kill us all
So take your first amendment rights
And be prepared to fight the system you worked so hard to put in
Cause in the end it won’t help
2012
2012
2012
2012
Is that really all we have?
America picks up the tab
When goodnight and good luck
Is not enough
There’s no other place to go

To you we must inspire
To you we must require
To you (it’s only the best)
The National Inquirer

Okay, a couple notes about this. I had found this lying around on my bedroom floor. It's from many years ago, and I had forgotten about it. It's more of a poem/concept sheete for lyrics, then anything serious. I know that it doesn't have the flow or style (to say the least) of a piece written by an experience, but this is from when I just started writing and I'm wondering if there's anything good that I can save from it. Do your worst, cause I know it needs A LOT of work.
