I was at my friends house and he hooked me up with a boot disc but he didn't have any CD-RWs. I'd like to download Marvel VS Capcom 2 and play it BUT I only have DVD-Rs. Will the dreamcast be able to read them?

I dont think so cuz i dont think the Dreamcast uses DVD's cuz they were really new at the time, i know xbox and the 360 can do that, and i think PS2. Id try regular CD's. And you need to have you're Dreamcast moded with a mod chip or a custom firmware but i dont know if they even have that for Dreamcast.

Dreamcasts manufactured before.....crap I forget when...anyways earlier model Dreamcasts will play backups without any mods. I had 2 of them that only needed me to simply burn a CD-R and pop it in, nothing else. But there are older ones that may not play without a mod chip.

If you have a Marvel VS Capcom fix that needs to be filled........you'll break it out every now and then.
