Anyone heard him? I got his album "captain fingers" the other day. he's awesome. I can't find any tabs from it though.

I haven't gotten the point in my ear training where i can do that, unfortunately..

I hate to be blunt about it but as helpful and useful ear training is, the only way to get really good at transcribing is to do it. Just start with simple melodies and move up, and as you are going use something to slow down the Lee Ritenour licks and take one piece at a time. Analyzation is good and all but real musicianship starts and ends with your ear, so the more you use it the better you will improvise. Hope this helps.
