Exactly. Diminished means to take a minor chord and lower it another half step and augmented means to to the opposite (sharp) a major chord.

So an diminished C5 chord would look like this:

Major = 1 3 5
Minor = 1 b3 5
Dim = 1 b3 b5
Aug = 1 3 #5
