ok, so i even looked up reverse chord finder on google, and it didnt have anything to say about this chord

e 3
B 3
G 0
D 0
A 0
E 2

if it doesn't even exist, or doesn't have a name, what would be the logical name to it?

according to JGuitar, it's an F#mi#5b9, though I haven't actually heard it, so I don't know the tonality and that could be entirely wrong

No, it's definitely some kind of G chord. Look at it this way:
F# major scale: F#-G#-A#-B-C#-D#-E#-F#
G major scale: G-A-B-C-D-E-F#-G

Chord:
--3-- G
--3-- D
--0-- G
--0-- D
--0-- A
--2-- F#

See, the notes all fit, I just don't see what you would call this. On second thought, it could be some kind of D chord:

D major scale= D-E-F#-G-A-B-C#

So that chord would be made of the following degrees of the D major scale:

--3-- G=4th
--3-- D=root
--0-- G=4th
--0-- D=root
--0-- A=5th
--2-- F#=3rd

I don't know; that's the only other thing I can think of lol. Go put this into the Name-That-Chord thread. They'll have fun with it.

It's a G/F# chord. But you're supposed to mute the A-string with the flesh of your Index.

It's a inversion of Dadd11.

EDIT: And there is no chords without names.

I am not sure of the proper name but it is used in place of a D chord in some songs
ie: when playnig Freebird most people play it G D Em but it is supposed to be played
G then this chord and Em Guns and roses use it in Civil War as well. it gives it more of a somber, deeper tone than just playing a regular D chord
YA GOTTA HIT IT ON THE ONE

Goldie's right; I think it sounds a lot like this, maybe a little flat. It's some kind of D chord. Just piece it together to come up with a name for it. The notes are F#-A-D-G-D-G. Have fun .

Think of it like this: what you did was basically the equivalent of walking up to someone on the street, listening for a minute or so and then saying 'yeah I heard that once too' and walking off.
