There's a niche in the forum world for this sort of thing I know, but it beats signing up to another just to ask one question that will take about a week to get answered, so here goes:

I'm currently slaving an old hard drive from my new desktop (the old one having a cracked registry, hence why I can't just whack the hdd in there and get the files that way), and I can't get on to 'Owner' in documents and settings because it was obviously an admin account and access is denied externally. Now, I know that you can claim ownership of files when slaving a hard drive in an external enclosure, but I'm not sure how - so can anyone tell me how I do that and access the files afterwards?

Appreciate any help you guys can give. I'll close this thread when I've got my answer.

Cheers,
Ben.
