I'm learning "5 Minutes Alone" by Pantera, and the solo-ey, interlude-y bit has a tremelo picked artificial (though this is on Powertab so it's probably a pinchy).

Anyway how do you do that? I can alternate pick with a pinch harmonic so that it plays quickly, but every like second time i strike the note it just thuds and doesn't make the harmonic.

So is there a certain way to do it? Or do I just need to practice?

Thanks.

there isnt a way..unless you just trem pick a true harmonic or just where it says on the neck..but nah you wouldnt be able to pinch up and down at that speed its just too much.

It is possible to do pinch harmonics on upstrokes as well, but it is a pain in the arse. Just practise.
Super Leeds and Classy Cas!
