Im extremely low on money but i need to play louder for upcoming shows. Im thinking about getting a crate cab and just playing it through my marshall microstack head. Can i do this? would it burn anything out since the head is only what like 15 watts.

It won't make you any louder - the amp is what determines how loud you are.

Then you'd blow the speakers up....which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing in the greater scheme of things.

You need both - the amp is what determines the amount of power available to you, and the speakers determine how much of that power gets converted to sound.

Small amp into big speakers = waste of money as the speakers can only be as loud as the amp

Big amp into little speakers = broken speakers
