I'm gonna have some money flowing in, so i'm looking to get some effects. First I plan on getting $300 or so, plus money if I can sell my CFH wah and Digitech Distortion factory. My estimate is $400 total, so here's what I was planning on doing...

- $40 for a generic 6-pedal powered pedalboard from ebay
- Reverb pedal ($125 max)
- Delay pedal ($100 or less)
- Something else to make my sound better. Not sure what, but there has to be something. I either want something to help make my riffs beefier, or my solos sound nicer.

You guys got any pedals to recommend?

For a third pedal I was thinking an MXR phase 90. Is the EVH version worth the extra cash?

id say either a chorus or a phaser
i doubt youre going to get a good delay for 100 unless you ebay though
Edit: aparently dd-3s went down
So... id go with
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ElectroHarmonix-Holy-Grail-Reverb-Pedal?sku=153319
for reverb
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Boss-DD3-Digital-Delay-Pedal?sku=151310
for delay
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/MXR-EVH-Eddie-Van-Halen-Phase-90?sku=151121
for a phase (if you decide to get one)
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ElectroHarmonix-Small-Clone-Analog-Chorus-Pedal?sku=153312
or
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Boss-CE5-Chorus-Ensemble-Pedal?sku=151365
if you go for a chorus
a lot of people like the small clone, but i like the ce5 better personally, go and try them out at GC

I would never, and i mean NEVER, buy a generic cheap power pedal. They will make your your pedals noisy as all hell, which will result in massive tone suckage.

i interpreted it as a pedalboard with a powersupply thing built in...

I mean one of those pedalboards with a power supply, so I dont need to spend $20 a week on batteries.

As for the pedal to beef up my tone, I think I might try a phaser, right now I use my amp's phaser to make my sound thicker.

for the delay, id get the digitech digidelay, works really well for the price. It also eats batteries fast, but you're getting a pedalboard so that doesnt really matter.
