hey all can somebody give me a recomendation plz?? im looking for something very similar to joy division, lyrics wise playing wise just generally like joy division but not new order or joy division. any ides??

Common misconception. Try the Cure. Mainly the albums "Seventeen Seconds", "Faith" and "Pornography". As well as "Disintegration" if you like the first three.

Also, maybe a little bit of New Order? "Movement" and the early singles follow pretty much dead on from where Ian Curtis left off...instrument wise anyways. The lyrics aren't as dark or (lets fac it) good, but if it's the Joy Division effect, look no further than the remaining members of the band =]

Echo and The Bunnymen, The Birthday Party, The Sound, Wire, Gang of Four, Bauhaus, The Chameleons UK and some stuff by the Fall and the Cure.
