Hmm, dunno if this has been done before but it has startled me that i spend about $70 a year on new picks. What's funnier is that this year i can only remember wearing out at most 5 good picks! So just wondering (poll), where do you normally find your picks??? Also wondering what kind of picks you prefer most (yeah i'm bored).

I've never found a pick i have 'lost'

Actually, I've only got one left that I actually use, and i got it in Hong Kong, and i haven't seen any over here at all (Ibanez Heavy's).

I'll have to get my picks shipped from Hong Kong if i lose this one

I bought 2 dozen picks 3 years ago. I still have 21 of them. Two of them are kept interwoven between the strings of my two favorite guitars when I'm not playing them. They're heavily worn and I like the feel of them a bit better than a fresh pick. I have 5 in a pick case. That's the only way I carry a pick in my pocket.

I never break picks. I use heavy or extra heavy.

I've lost 3 picks in the last 3 years. I think I'll get over that somehow.

Ten years from now, I'll probably re-stock so I don't run out.

So I'm sitting on a chair with my guitar right next to my amp, and I strum really hard (I was a little frustrated) and my pick shoots out of my hand and I can't find it anywhere. I think 3 months later I noticed it was stuck underneath one of the buttons of my amplifier

The matchbook pocket of my jeans. I put them in there for safe keeping, then pick up another.

In cact, I'll check my pockets now and see if I got any: Aww. None in here. Once though I found 4 picks. I was like holy shit, awesome! I was happy the rest of that day.

I lose them so much, and they end up in the strangest places. I've only found about 10% of the picks i've lost.
I can honestly say I have really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like.

LOL I know how that feels. Whenever I drop a pick, it bounces in a weird direction and gets lost. Later I find it 30 feet from where I dropped it.

edit: Oh and actually I lost all my picks and have turned to learning songs using finger picking. I like it better and will probably play that way from now on.

Either in my wallet or on my desk or something. I want to go out and buy like £10 worth of them once I have a job and keep them in a little pot.

I have like 2 favorite picks, and I would die if I lost em. The thing is though, I hate dropping my pick when im in the middle of something. And it seems to happen to me quite often. Which is quite ****ty when you're having band practice. So now, I've been playing fingerpicking. Trying to develop my own sound with that and it's coming along fine. Quite ironic how I can play a lot faster licks without a pick.
