Yes, I know I should ckeck out the reviews, but I did and I don't find them very useful. Every single guitar there has very good mark even if it's a crappy guitar, so I would like an objective opinion.
What do you guys like about it, and what don't you like? I play metal and hardcore, with much soloing. Does it fit that music?
Thank you very much!

I think it would definitely fit. Look into Vipers too.

EC's seem nice, try one out.

just save yourself the money and get a ec-500. the abalone binding looks really gay and the locking tuners you can upgrade to any other time.

As an owner of own, I'd advise against a Viper for soloing. It has this uncomfortable, square neck joint. I'm more of a rhythm player myself and I don't mind. For my occasional lead playing, I might settle for a LTD H400 which I can get a good deal on since it's discontinued. The differences between the 500 and the 1000 model are mostly cosmetical, except for the tuners.

I'm not a huge ESP fan, but this thing is great. I would recommend it for Hard Rock/Metal any day.

Looks like it'd suit you Go play a couple and see if you find them cozy.

I'm pretty sure Jinskee has an EC-1000, if you wanna send him a message.

Yeah, that abalone binding really looks like it has sex with other bindings of the same gender.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

the guitar itself is good, but i too think the abalone is seriously over done. get the version without all that jizz the vintage black

unless of course you like the abalone-ness

thanks for your answers but... what is the abalone? I'm Spanish, so I don't knowwhat is that

It's the shiny, colorful stuff along the edges. And as you have read in this thread, they are homosexual.

It's a material that comes from the shells of mollusks used in inlays and binding.

Yeah, nice one. Now he'll think tuning machines are called "abalones" or something.

Happy now?

Hahaha that's ok, now I got it. I thought it was some piece of the guitar, but now I see what you meant.
Well, I admit it could be a more "masculine" finish, but if that's the worst thing to say about this guitar, I guess it is worth giving it a try. Thank you all very much!

Well, I actually quite like the overdone inlays, but I guess that's personal.
