Right, we all have a favourite band, we have favourite songs. That's all well documented somewhere else. But sometimes, we wanna branch off and check out new stuff. So, post your favourite band, and give 5 or so examples of songs that a person should check out to get a good feel for what the band is like. Who knows, you could discover your new favourite band.

NOTE: Don't just post your favourite songs, post the songs that paint a fair picture of what the band is like.

I'll start:

Coheed and Cambria

In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3
Delirium Trigger
Welcome Home
No World for Tomorrow
Willing Well IV: The Final Cut
A Favour House Atlantic
Blood Red Summer

Well my list can take up 30 seconds or minutes of your life, choose. But in all seriousness Led Zeppelin did not know what they were talking bout. Even when it came to led zeppelin. Yes thats right Led Zeppelin knows jack **** about Led Zeppelin. Kashmir in my eyes is overrated. Its good just not as good as they say

Except their earlier sound. You really can't grasp that sound without listening to Orchid and Morningrise, since they never went back to that sound.

I would think that's about right, for that system. I would change "Under the Weeping Moon" to "Forest of October", and add "The Night and the Silent Water" to the Morningrise part.

And add "Master's Apprentice" or "Delieverance" to the Deliverance section.

And "Blackwater Park" to the BWP section.

Does it have to be a band? If not, then Agustín Barrios Mangoré.

John Williams has an amazing CD of his recordings. He has written over 300 pieces (and some poems). He is regarded by many to be the greatest composer of guitar music. His greatest work is generally held to be "La Catedral", which he wrote after listening to Bach Organ music in a Cathedral. He is often called "The Paganini of guitar from the jungles of Paraguay".
