No.

If anything, Heart-Shaped Box or About a Girl, but otherwise, leave it alone.

Alice in Chains - Godsmack, Nutshell
The Cure - Love Song, Close to Me, Friday I'm in Love

Alanis Morrisette if your looking for top hits, she ain't half bad in my opinion.
Maybe even some early No Doubt "Spiderwebs" "Excuse Me Mister"

What about The Wallflowers? Josephine, One Headlight, Three Marlenas, Laughing Out Loud

There's Matchbox 20...that album Yourself or Someone Like You I think it was called. Push, 3 AM, Real World

Santa Monica by Everclear

And I think that Barenaked Ladies song you're talking about is One Week.

The Refreshments.

No one knows about them, but I bet you've heard some of their songs. Their guitarist uses the same solo riff on every song, but that makes me laugh. Other then that, their lyrics are unique and amazing, and they are overall good. I really recommend buying their CD or whatever you do to get your music. They are way underrated.
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

RHCP - Under the bridge

Isn't that from BSSM, released in 1991?

And also, Nirvana = early 90's (+late 80's)

One time I had this chick setting on my lap, sucking on my neck, unbuttoning my pants when one of my friends walked in and ruined the whole thing. To be fair though, she was his girlfriend.

Shoopin' that whoop since before you were born, son.

Late 90's? Smashing Pumpkins- Ava Adore. Classic in my mind, came out in 1998. Highly underrated album, adore was.
