I'm currently looking for a nice amp head, and took a look at the Ashdown FA60 DSP.
I play modern metal, and use a tone similar to that of As I Lay Dying, Dethklok etc.
Will this amp be able to produce this sort of tone without needing a pedal to push it over the top?
My 2 current options are this amp and the Randall RH150 G3 head
Which do you recommend?

Thanks in advance

the voicings a bit off for some modern metal tones though, you might want an EQ pedal

I voted ashdown because i personally loved it when i played it and i know it will get good metal tones, but maybe, as said above, an eq pedal or an OD for more modern metal

Really it's a tough call though because the randall will do modern metal on it's own, but then your missing out on the hot tubeness for any other style you may wish to explore.

Because they cost about £800 over here?

Just throwin' that out there..
