I've never used an overdrive pedal through a tube amp. And am wondering would you use an overdrive through the clean channel, or the dirty? Or if there is anything else involved. I'd like to get an Orange head, and would like to know what pedals I'd need to get a harder tone. ie metal. Thanks

You can use an O/D pedal on either channel of a tube amp, it just pushes the tubes further.
But they are usually used on the O/D-Gain channel.

Is there any black people on UG?
I don't think a lot of black people play guitar anymore.
