ok, so i just got some money, and am looking for something to add to my pedalboard. take a look at what i have in my sig, and then does anyone have any suggestions? i have about £50/60 to spend. what play varies from standard rock to pop punk, sometims some heavier rock stuff, and then occasionally blues.

but basically, im looking for something that will either improve my sound, or add a fun new element, something i can play about with.

thanks

Try a chorus pedal. That's always a good place to start off with effects

i've never really understood chorus pedals. ive used the lower quality versions on my amp and multi fx, but i cant really see how it enhances the sound at all. i know its supposed to make it sound like theres more than one guitar or something, but to me, it never seems to make the sound any better

I agree with delay but you've really got to get something worth having in that catigory, like a Boss DD6, Akai Headrush, or Line 6 DL-4...

So either that... Or phaser, like a Phase 90 or a Electro-Harmonix Small Stone... Multi-effect phasers don't even come close to emulating those things; they're not that expensive and once you have it you'll find yourself working it into almost every song at some point... Or at least I did with my Small Stone Nano, but those do have two different settings, one of which is quite subtle....

Anyway... Delay or Phaser.

thanks. so can you reommend any good phasers/delays for about £50 or £60?

i know im not gonna get top-of-the-range quality with that money, but i'd like something thats worth th money

digitech whammy is an awesome pedal and since you got a wah pedal you could do crazy stuff with it like the song "like a stone" by audioslave that uses whammy plus wah.

edit: i just saw your budget get what the other guys said or save some money to get a nice pedal like the whammy
my guitar stuff:
ESP JH-600
ValveKing 112
DigiTech Whammy Pedal
Taylor 314CE
Dunlop SW-95 Slash Wah Pedal
Cordoba C7 Nylon String Acoustic Guitar
Metal muff
Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Ash

How do you use the AX5G on your pedal board? The DOD FX65 is a great chorus and can be found cheap on eBay. A Big Muff would be a good addition. I have a Digitech Digidelay that I use almost all the time. I have an AX3G and have used it in the past on my board, but it is a bit noisy.

using the ax5g as a noise gate, volume control, and sometimes compression. also sometimes use the modulation
