Do you prefer a band that has a singer that jump around and go crazy or a singer that play guitar because it adds something to the song ?

i often prefer when the singer doesn't play guitar

improvise a little with the solos
if i want to hear the one they wrote, i'll listen to the CD.
BUT somtimes it alright to do the original solo

Sometimes I think a song may need two guitars, in which case I like if the singer always plays rythm, to "fill it out" a bit more.

In other cases, let the singer go crazy.

All depends on the song.

but if its good, then its good.

All I have to say is, if I'm seeing a band live, I want there to be something more than in the recording.
Whether its just one of those bands that is just so into the song you can feel it, or if there are extended solo's/changed verses/ etc.

just SOMETHING

I like bands that adapt film scores and have bizarre gimmicks and do something snazzy other than jump around and scream. Like where it's just an experience, more than just a show.

If I'm ever a musician, the shows are going to be out of this world. I wanna give people a trippy drug experience without the drugs.

As long as they put on a good show and get me into the music, I don't really care. A good example I can think of is Hatebreed; I don't really like they're music but they put on a hell of a performance live.

Don't care, really. I love Matthew Bellamy as much as Jim Morrison

It adds a lot of they have stage presence is all. I don't care whether or not they play anything.
