A friend recommended the BTBAM song, "Selkies: The Endless Obsession," and was wondering if there were any other particular songs that have that great of a guitar solo or general sound.

mordecai is a good favorite. plus the new album Colors came out a few months back. its 64 minutes of pure BTBAM so i definatly think you should check that out.

Colors sucks. Most stuff off Alaska would probably be what you are looking for. The Silent Circus is great too though.

I wish people would get over the fact that their will never be a TSC part 2.
TSC was a good album, but I doubt BTBAM wants to backtrack and spew out the same stuff.
But if your into more progressive stuff, Colors is amazing.
If your into more metal/hardcore stuff, Colors will probly be a huge snore fest.
But if you liked stuff like Selkies, Alaska and Colors are good albums to go off of.
I would recommend
Backwards Marathon
All Bodies (iffy)
The Primer
Sun of Nothing
Ants in the Sky
Prequel to the Sequel
White Walls

Alaska is actually my favorite even though TSC got me into them.
