Im doing a slideshow for my tech class with pictures of guitarists starting with early blues all the way to today, and i cant use google images so why not make a thread out of it! Post a picture of your favourite guitarist and why you like him/her. no flaming if someone likes a guitarist you dont, and have fun.

He is very versatile, plays great riffs and solos, and is one of the few Canadians I find to be cool.

Edit: by the way, it's Alex Lifeson.

Aren't there like one kazillions threads about this? Anyways, I think I'll go with the Robert Fripp or Muhammed Suicmez (though his solos tend to get a bit boring after a while). Mattias IA Eklund is also great. Jarzombek and Allan Holdsworth are also great. Oh yeah and John Petrucci. Plus Buckethead.

Mr. John Petrucci

Why, you ask?

1. He's the only guitarist who is also a bear.
2. He has the most orgasmic lead tone ever.
3. He plays with so much emotion (just look at the pic)
4. He's extremely educated in music theory and also very creative.

I could go for days.

Most people haven't, actually. They only released two album in the late 70's, but they've had a huge influence on Alternative/Indie. They're a punk band, except for the fact that they sound nothing like punk rock.
