So, last year around Christmas time, my brother and a few friends decided to write our own version of Carol of the Bells for a concert we were doing, everyone loved it (think transiberian orchestra).

This year, we've been asked to possibly open for the 8 christmas services at my church, (this is the biggest weekend all year there, we'll be playing for several thousand people over 4 days) so id like so make a medly of different 'metalifyed' christmas songs.
so i was wondering, what do you think are some songs we could use? I thought "god reas ye merry gentelmen" and "carol of the bells" whould be good, but i cant do what i want with just a few songs.

Carol of the Bells is such an awesome piece of music. Did you make a recording of your arrangement?

Do a metal version of Canon in D. Like the TSO version.

Like this one. If your church has an orchestra have them play with you, and get a couple good girl singers to sing the lyrics.
I can honestly say I have really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like.

Stop doing that.

Greensleeves. It's got a pretty dark sound, so I think it would good metalized. I think the TSO might have done it already, but I'll check.

EDIT: They have, under the title "What Child is This?"

According to God's homepage Wikipedia, "What Child is This?" borrowed the melody from "Greensleeves" and added Christmas lyrics. Apparently, the subject of the original lyrics to "Greensleeves" was a prostitute.

how many times are you gonna freaking post that tonight?

On Subject: Check out "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" by Gary Hoey, or alot of other Gary Hoey songs are metal.
I actually do have schizophrenia, so stop making fun of people who have it.
