Ok, sorry to be such a "noob," but i have a strat style guitar and am looking to get my hands dirty and try to upgrade it a bit. Im thinking new neck, pick ups, finish....the works. In the midst of all this, I wanted to upgrade the Bridge. My question is.....

Will a floyd rose style double locking trem fit on a strat style guitar without having to make alterations to the existing body? If so, do they all fit, or is it just certain ones?

Thanks for all your help.
My Gear:

i "think" you have to do some alterations to fit a floyd rose on a strat. there are some double locking trems made for strats though. the supervee trem comes to mind. google it if you want to know more about it, it seems like it could be something nice.
